Gordon is an expert in the planning and operation of railways and has accumulated over 30 years’ experience in the rail sector within the UK and internationally.
Gordon began his career with London Underground where he undertook operations management and senior planning roles before moving into consultancy, where he has worked on systems ranging from metros to high-speed rail. During his time at Steer, Gordon has led major assignments for public and private sector clients in the UK, Europe and the USA, including private sector train operating companies, the UK Department for Transport, the European Commission and Amtrak in the USA.
At Steer, Gordon has accumulated a wealth of experience in policy development, strategic and business planning, project development, commercial transactions and operations. He supports our growing rail team, leading multi-disciplinary assignments for clients such as Transport for Wales and extending the reach of our rail services offer across international markets.
